Christnas markets are a must do, full of local and foreighn cuisines, mulled wine, hot chocolates, handmade crafts and family run business, the festive season is when everyone comes together. Without further ado we provide you with a few of the top Christmas markets in the UK.

When staying in Scotland you must visit Edinburgh Christmas Market, Christmas celebrations run from the tail-end of November, throughout December and into January. Every year there is fun for family and friends in the form of fairground rides and various Christmas stalls providing a chance to geta spot of shopping done. The theatres are full of pantomimes and shows celebrating the joyous time, while other festivities include a Christmas Tree Maze, Ice Skating and Santas Grotto. Enjoy Mulled cider and wine, whilst indulging in hot churros and crepes. In additon why not take a visit to Thors Tepe to warm your cockles.

There arent many more picturesque places to spend Christmas than the beautiful walled, medieval city of York where an annual Christmas festival is held. The towering Christmas tree in St Helens Square is a great place to start before plotting your way over towards St Sampson's Square and Parliament Street where the magnificent market stall of the St Nicholas Fair await you. Theres also a winter wonderland, home to an outdoor ice rink, funfair rides and snata in his log cabbin. Whilst in your you should also take the opportunity to walk down The Shambles, an old street with overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back as far as the fourteenth century.

One other Christmas market that is famous in the UK is the biggest of them all, transfroming one of Londons most spectacular parks, Hyde Park into Winter wonderland. This christmas market offers a festive paradise in the heart of the city. Home to the worlds tallest transportable observation wheel, a Magical ice kingdom and an array of comedic acts at its own Comedy Clud, along with the UK's largest open air ice rink and plenty of bars ad food stalls, theres something for all the family to enjoy. You can also spectate jaw-dropping acts and dont miss the arrival of Paddington on ice, a stunning family friendly show combining cutting edge choreography, toe-tapping music and impressive costumes.

Overall, we highly reccomend visitng the Christmas markets we feel will give you the full festive experience in the UK. However there are many more markets to explore in the UK all providing you with the chance to fully experince the festive season. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
